After trying all kind of pets, people were trying out for something new. This is when skunks appeared to them. But these stinky creatures were unbearable when domesticated, so they thought new plan of breeding them. They just started removing their scent glands that they no longer stink.
This is very inhumane that you are changing life style of some free living creature just for your entertainment sake. But we have a good record of maintaining many wild creatures as pets, what is a skunk for us. Skunks can be good pets; as good as cats can be. But make sure it is legal breeding a skunk in your place. Or else you will end up in hefty problems.
